This activity began with the Alberta Language Learning Environment (ALLE) project, which I co-directed with Esther Enns and which has now been expanded with a successful bid for major funding to create a Language Research Centre (LRC) at the University of Calgary. My work in this regard can be divided into four main areas:
ALLE Workshops for Language Teachers (details) 19 workshops of 2-3 hours each were offered with support from the Second Languages Branch of Alberta Education and from the ALLE project. Consultation with the Second Language specialists of the Calgary Catholic and Calgary Public School Boards on content and timing.
