The first part of the final examination, without dictionaries, will be a vocabulary test, similar to the one in the mid-term or last year's final (though longer), and worth 20% of the final examination grade. To help you prepare, here is a list of just under 50 words from your vocabulary lists, with good translations and contexts. You probably know a lot of them already. The vocabulary test will focus on three things: (1) these words; (2) the very common words listed in the Pronouns, Determiners and Prepositions sections of the Frequency List; (3) the words and expressions in the grammar lessons covered in the second half of the course.
