Indicative

See Mood, Verbs

The Indicative is the most usual Mood of the verb, indicating that the action does or will take place, or has taken place (She ate her lunch).

Other moods, such as the Imperative, the Subjonctive or the Conditional, indicate that the action should take place (Eat your lunch, Il faut que tu manges), or might take place (She would leave her lunch if she knew what was in it, Il est possible qu'elle perde son emploi.)
