Double Major in French and Spanish

You should consider the option of the Double Major in French and Spanish especially if you are planning to pursue your studies in such areas as Education, Management, or Translation. A Double Major in French and Spanish will have the following advantages:

  • it will increase your career choices in your future professional life

  • it will enhance your opportunities for successful involvement in international activities of all sorts since you can claim advanced proficiency in two languages that are used on every continent in the world.

  • it will offer even more interdisciplinary study than in a single major

  • it will prepare you for cross-disciplinary combinations at the graduate level

  • you will find it relatively easy because French and Spanish are closely related linguistically. This means that if you already know French, it is relatively easy to learn Spanish and vice versa.
